The Association of different Colleges


It is an association aimed at the uniformity of programs, the quality of the training and the trainers, conformity to the highest standards in terms of academic content and the increased recognition of the program and its training.

To become a member of this Association, colleges must:

· give a minimum training of 1250 hours for health professionals

· give complementary training for holders of a bachelor’s degree in sciences or college education (nursing or athletic therapy)

· teach the program contents approved by the board of the Association des Collèges Traditionnels du Canada

· donate part of their revenues to an osteopathic association to aid research.

Also:

· its students must have completed the mandatory theory, practice and clinical exams and be the holders of an Osteopathic Thesis presented and accepted before an International Jury

· the professors must possess an Osteopathic Diploma including a clinical, fundamental or sociological research thesis

Choosing a college member of the Association des Collèges Traditionnels du Canada guarantees future students a quality of education.

Presently, the following colleges are part of the Association:

· the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal

· the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto

· the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Québec

· the College of Vancouver

· associated schools

· Deutsches Osteopathie Kolleg

· Osterreichisches Osteopathie Kolleg

· Fundacion de Instituto Argentino de Osteopatia

Other schools in Europe are presently interested in becoming affiliated.
