Humanitarian
Humanitarian Missions:
In 2001, Philippe Druelle, D.O., organized with Tatiana Vera Lescano D.O., the first humanitarian mission in Peru. It was held in Arequipa where the governor of the region, Mr. Vera Balone along with the Lions’ Club who provided them with logistical support.
Spirit of the missions:
It is an encounter between sufferers and osteopaths; between two different cultures who share common traits of good hearts, generosity, humor, and compassion. Osteopaths and their students make up a team focused on alleviating pain and suffering.
Objectives of the missions:
• Bring solutions to alleviate pain and heal dysfunctions.
• Live a bounding experience between teachers and students, based on respect, compassion, and a sincere connection.
• Open new doors on supervised clinical internships.
• Develop an awareness of other people’s reality.
• Acquire new ways to treat patients with the help of expert osteopaths.
