Welcome
to Montreal
It is with great
pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 25th Montreal
International Symposium. This exceptional meeting allows us to come
toguether annually in a beautiful atmosphere of discovery and generosity,
sharing new knowledge to relieve patients. We wish to warmly welcome
you to this 25th edition.
The theme of the 2008 Symposium is fascinating:
« The quality and therapeutic specificity of Osteopathy…
Its roots, tradition and research. »
This theme was chosen to celebrate and promote the remarkable quality
and efficiency of Osteopathy, celebrating its 134th year of existence
June 22nd 2008.
Osteopathy was the first structured manual medicine to apply concepts
and principles allowing thousands of people to be relieved naturally.
In various areas, including young children, expectant mothers, the
elderly, patients suffering from multiple traumas, chronic pain,
various dysfunctions, motor retardation, emotional and behavioral
problems, osteopathy intervenes. As A.T. Still indicated, osteopaths
are the “engineers of the human body” capable of understanding
the interrelations, evaluating and treating the mechanisms that
maintain health. This unique health profession, which searches for
the causes of pain and dysfunction, is recognized and respected
in numerous countries as an efficient, quick and economical solution
for society.
We have brought together experts and clinicians who have united
their efforts in developing this theme within their conferences
and workshops. This year we will have the pleasure of welcoming:
